Athletics
Relay race events in athletics consists of four members which have their own characteristics and specialties. So, today I will share about the four legs in relay race.
1. First leg
π This is the team's strong starter.
π Someone who can really explode out of the blocks but is steady enough not to risk a false start.
π Can run a good first corner.
2. Second leg
π‘ This is often one of the longest legs and it demands great speed endurance.
π‘ It usually goes to a strong 200-meter runner.
π‘ They receive and pass baton with their left hand, they must be very good at handling the stick.
3. Third leg
π’ This will go to a curve specialist who can receive and deliver baton on a turn.
π’ Has the ability to run fast curve close inside lane line without stepping on it and disqualifying the team.
4. Fourth leg
π΅ This is often the team's fastest runner.
π΅ The one who posses a highly competitive nature.
π΅ Can hold off or chase down competitors if the team is behind.
π΅ Someone who can stay focused in that final high-traffic exchange zone where tension is at its peak.
That is the four legs in relay race. Thankyou!
